Meet Vanessa Lam!

Vanessa is a junior at the University of Hawaii at Manoa majoring in marketing and international business. Vanessa works on campus as a marketing consultant and social media strategist at Manoa Now, a student media organization. She also is part of two clubs on campus: American Marketing Association and International Business Organization. Vanessa loves her unique college experience at UH, not every college student can expect sunshine everyday and destress at the beach. Besides enjoying beautiful mother nature, she loves the local food! The spicy ahi poke from Fresh Catch and Foodland always satisfies her big stomach. Vanessa loves everything about living the island life and is lucky enough to call Hawaii her home now.

Vanessa is studying abroad in Florence, Italy for her spring semester! She will be taking three business courses and one English course at Lorenzo de Medici. She is super excited to spend four months in Florence and be totally immersed in the Italian culture. She is most excited to travel around Europe with her college bestie, Tyra. Besides from traveling, Vanessa is very ready for all the food she will be eating in Italy. She is a huge cheese and bread connoisseur and can’t wait to eat all the pasta, pizza, and gelato possible. Vanessa is ready to take the leap over to Italy and start her journey!
