Tyra and I took a day trip to another Tuscany city, Siena. Siena is known for their medieval cityscape and you can see this through their architecture.

We took a morning train ride to Siena and arrived at 10am. When we arrived, there was dense fog that made it very hard to see anything. Our first stop was the botanical garden, which cost 2.50 euros. It was definitely sad walking around the botanical garden since it is winter time and nothing was blooming. We then headed towards the Siena Duomo. The Siena Duomo was absolutely beautiful, made out of pink stone. This was a very impressive Duomo even though it's smaller than the one in Florence. We then went inside the Duomo and the library which were striking. The detail inside was very intricate and unlike any church I've seen so far. We then walked to the city center where there's a fountain and a bell tower. We then wandered around the city just to see if there was anything else to do. We spent a good amount of time sight seeing and taking pictures and finished Siena at 4pm. We then headed home early and got back to Florence at 6pm.

Siena is definitely a day trip since the city is so small. Personally I didn't like Siena too much because there wasn't much to do. My favorite part of the day trip was seeing the Duomo.

I highly recommend visiting Siena if you love history, museums, and architecture.
